Matar Chicken (Chicken with Green Peas) is one of the most well liked

INGREDIENTS:
*Boneless Chicken- 250 gms (cut into bite sized pieces)
*Green peas- 1 cup (fresh/frozen)
*Onion- 1 (medium sized, finely chopped)
*Tomato- 1 (medium sized, finely chopped)
*Ginger-garlic paste- 1 tsp
*Salt- to taste
*Red chilli powder- ¾ tsp
*Pinch of turmeric
*Black pepper powder- ½ tsp
*Garam masala powder- ¼ tsp
*Mutton masala powder- ½ tsp
*Crushed kasuri methi- ½ tsp
*Coriander leaves- 1 tbsp (finely chopped)
*Cooking oil- 1 tbsp
INGREDIENTS:
*Wash the chicken well and allow to drain.
*Heat a pressure cooker, add oil and as it heats add onion and saute
till translucent.
*Add ginger-garlic paste and tomatoes.
*Cook till the tomatoes are mushy.
*Add chicken pieces, salt and turmeric.
*Cook on high flame till juices evaporate.
*Now, add all the masalas except coriander leaves.
*Add green peas, give it a good stir and ½ cup water and cook for 1
whistle.
*Allow the pressure to release naturally, check if there is extra gravy
and evaporate it. Add chopped coriander leaves and mix lightly.
*Serve hot along with rotis or parathas.
