LAMB TROTTERS SOUP

 

A Bakrid-Special recipe loved by everyone in my home. This recipe is usually made in a pressure cooker to slow down the cooking time as it takes a long time to cook. This recipe makes a tasty soup/ broth which is loved during winters. Try this soup recipe and let me know in the comments how it turned out.

 

INGREDIENTS:

*Lamb trotters- 8 nos

*Onion- 4 nos (large, finely chopped)


*Ginger garlic paste- 2 tbsp

*Salt- to taste

*Chopped coriander leaves- ½ cup

*Water- 2 ltrs

*Turmeric powder- 1 tsp

PROCEDURE:

*Heat water in a pressure cooker.

*Add lamb trotters and the rest of the ingredients.

*Give a good mix and check for salt.

*Pressure cook for 10-12 whistles.

*Check if trotters are soft, else pressure cook for another 2-3 whistles.

*Mutton trotters usually take a long time to cook and they taste good only if the mutton breaks easily from the bone.

*Serve hot with parathas
