LEHSUNI NIMBU MURG (GARLIC LEMON CHICKEN)

 

A scrumptious chicken dish made of loads of spices, lemon and garlic. Perfect for a party night, this dish is best had with kulchas or roti. Try this tangy and spicy dish and let me know in the comments how it turned out.

INGREDIENTS:

For the Marination:

*Chicken- 1 kg

*Salt- to taste

*Lemon juice- ½ cup

*Ginger garlic paste- 2 tbsp

*Red chili powder- 1 tsp

 

For the Curry:

*Oil- ¼ cup

*Curry leaves- 10-12 leaves

*Dry red chilies- 2 nos (broken into pieces)

*Green chilies- 2 tbsp (finely chopped)

*Garlic pods- ½ cup (finely chopped)

*Onion- 1 nos (medium sized,finely chopped)

*Tomatoes-3 nos (finely chopped)

*Jeera powder- 1 tsp

*Garam masala- ½ tsp

*Red chili powder- 1 tsp

*Salt- to taste

*Chicken Masala powder- 1 tsp

*Finely chopped Coriander leaves- ½ cup

*Finely chopped Mint leaves- ½ cup

 


INGREDIENTS:

*In a large mixing bowl, Add all the ingredients listed until the marinade. Mix well and let it marinate for about 2 hrs.

*Heat oil in a kadhai, add curry leaves and let it splutter.

*Now add red chilies and green chilies. Fry for 10 secs.

*Add garlic pods and fry till light brown.

*Fry for some time.

*Add onions and fry till translucent.

*Add chopped tomatoes and cook till mushy.

*Now pour the marinated chicken.

*Add some salt and red chili powder.

*Fry this till the chicken is tender.

*Add the rest of the spices and simmer it for some time.

*Garnish it with chopped coriander leaves and mint leaves.

*Serve hot with KULCHAS and rotis.
