An easy- peasy Sunday breakfast recipe. Comforting yet tasty vermicelli
with chunks of tomatoes and is mildly spicy. Try this quick vermicelli recipe

INGREDIENTS:
*Oil- 2 tbsp
*Mustard seeds- ¼ tsp
*Curry leaves- 1 sprig
*Onion- 2 nos (sliced)
*Tomatoes- 3 nos (finely chopped)
*Salt- to taste
*Red chili powder- 1 tsp
*Jeera powder- 1 tsp
*Water- 1 cup
*Vermicelli- 2 cups (roasted and broken)
*Coriander leaves- 1 tbsp (chopped)
PROCEDURE:
*Heat oil in a vessel, add mustard seeds and let it splutter.
*Now add curry leaves and onion.
*Cook till it turns translucent.
*Add tomatoes and salt and cook till the tomatoes turn mushy.
*Add all the ingredients except vermicelli.
*Let the water come to a boil.
*Check for seasoning and add salt and red chili powder if needed.
*When the water comes to a rolling boil, add vermicelli and mix well.
*Let it cook and when all the water is absorbed by the vermicelli,
lower the flame and let it dum for 5 mins.
*Easy Vermicelli Upma is ready.
Note: 1 have used the ratio 1:2 for water:vermicelli , this ratio is
perfect for bambino vermicelli. It may differ according to the type of
vermicelli you are using.
