DESI BUN SHAWARMA

 

The ultimate Bun Shawarma recipe is here. This dish is loved by my kids. Due to the pandemic situation, we are avoiding food from outside. I prefer making it at home as it is way more healthier and trust me kids will love it. Try this amazing recipe and let me know in the comments how it turned out.

 


COMPONENTS OF THE DISH:

*Shawarma buns

*Fried and shredded beef pieces

*Chopped Cucumber and onions

*SHAWARMA SAUCE

 

 


INGREDIENTS:

*Shawarma buns- 6 nos

*SHAWARMA SAUCE- 1 cup (click on the name to get the recipe)

*English cucumber- 1 ½ cups (finely chopped)

*Onions- 1 ½ cups (finely chopped)

*Beef- 300 gms (Boneless and thinly sliced)

*Lemon wedges and onion rings- for serving

 


PROCEDURE:

*Wash beef thoroughly and marinate it well. I have used the  Tawa Phaal  recipe to prepare the shawarma filling. TAWA PHAAL RECIPE LINK: https://5star-kitchen.blogspot.com/2021/01/tawa-phaal.html

*After frying, I’ve cut them into small pieces to resemble the shawarma filling.

 

The Assembly:

*Here comes the main part, assembling the shawarma.

*Take shawarma buns and slit them. The slit should be in the centre of the bun, take care that the bun should not be broken into half.

*Spread the Shawarma Sauce inside the bun evenly.

*Sprinkle some chopped onions and cucumber in it.

*Now fill the bun with fried and shredded beef pieces.





*Microwave for 30 secs on high.

*Alternatively you can warm it on a hot tawa.

*Serve hot with onion rings and lemon wedges.
