Chocolate Pudding Using Agar-Agar

 

An easy and delicious pudding you can make with just a few ingredients. This pudding is made using China grass as the setting ingredient which makes it set beautifully. Try my recipes and let me know in the comments how it turned out.

INGREDIENTS:

*Milk- 1 ½ cups

*Vanilla essence- ½ tsp

 

For the China grass mix:

*China grass/ agar-agar- 5 gms

*Water- 1/3 cup

*Sugar- 3 tbsp

*Cocoa powder- 2 tbsp

*Salt- a pinch

 

For decoration:

*Chocolate Shavings

*Rainbow sprinkles

 


PROCEDURE:

*Cut agar- agar into small pieces. Measure and take it in a sauce-pan and add water to it.

*Heat it up stirring continuously until it is completely dissolved and the water is clear without any strips.

*Now add sugar, cocoa powder and salt.

*Mix well and check for sugar and add more if required.

*Strain this mixture and pour it in the bowl of milk.

*Add vanilla essence and mix well quickly, else the china grass while start to set right away.

*Mix until it's incorporated well in the milk.

*Pour them in greased moulds of your choice.

*Let it set for about 30 mins.

*You can refrigerate it before serving.

*Demould the pudding, or can even eat it as it is.

*Garnish with chocolate shavings and rainbow sprinkles, serve chilled.
