Summer is already here, and summers are incomplete without Icecreams and Ice pops. That's why we've got you simple and easy mango popsicle recipe made using easily available kitchen ingredients. I have used Mango tang for this recipe, you can use rasna instead. With this recipe you can enjoy mango candy even when fresh mangoes are'nt available. You can even substitute sugar syrup with jaggery syrup. Check out the recipe below and make sure to try it out. Do share your experiences in the comments section below.
INGREDIENTS:
- Water- 500 ml
- Sugar- 300 gms
- Vinegar- 1 tsp
- Mango tang/ Rasna- 6 tbsp
PROCEDURE:
- In a saucepan, add sugar and water and mix well. Allow it to come to a boil.
- Mix well and let the sugar melt completely.
- Once the sugar melts, switch off the flame and let it cool completely.
- Once it cools down add mango tang to it and mix well.
- Now add vinegar to it and mix. Vinegar balances the sweetness of the sugar.
- Taste it and add more tang if required. The mixture might taste concentrated, but that is what prevents the candy from crystallisation.
- Pour this in ice-cream moulds and freeze it for 3-4 hrs or until set.
- If you don't have an ice-cream mould you can even use small steel glasses and insert ice-cream sticks in it after it sets partially which may take upto an hour.
- Once set, place the mould in warm water for a min, then gently demould it.
- Easy Mango ice pops are ready, serve right away.
