Chaat Masala ... who does'nt love this? From Pani puri to Aloo tikki chaat , dahi bhalle to fruit chaats, all are incomplete without Chaat masala. It's the pixie dust in the Indian kitchen, just makes food taste magical.so, we thought why not try it in our kitchen in a simplified way so that any beginner can follow these steps and make it at home easily.
The main flavors in this masala include jeera, aamchur and some whole spices with a hint of sugar and mint. Try this recipe and make sure to comment below how it turned out.
INGREDIENTS:
- Jeera- 2 tbsp
- Coriander leaves- 2 tbsp
- Black peppercorns- 1 tbsp
- Red chilli- 1 no
- Cloves- 1/2 tsp
- Hing- 1/2 tsp
- Salt- 1/2 tsp
- Sugar- 1 tsp
- Aamchur powder- 1/2 cup
- Mint powder- 1 tbsp
PROCEDURE:
- Take all the whole spices in a pan, roast them on low flame until fragrant.
- Once fragrant, switch off the flame and let it cool completely.
- Transfer the contents in a jar.
- Grind the masalas to a fine powder.
- Now add the rest of the masalas to it and grind it again.
- Chaat masala is ready. Sprinkle it on your favourite chaat and devour right away.
