Palak Murgh / Spinach Chicken

INGREDIENTS:
*Chicken- 500 gms

For the Marinade:
*Mint leaves- 1 cup
*Coriander leaves- 1 cup
*Green chillies- 3 nos
*Garlic- 7-8 cloves
*Salt- to taste
*Black pepper corns- 2 tsp
*Tej patta- 2 nos
*Cloves- 4-5 nos
*Cardamom- 3 nos
*Cinnamon- 2 1" sticks

For the Gravy:
*Oil- 2 tbsp
*Onion- 2 nos (medium sized, finely chopped)
*Tomatoes- 4 nos (medium sized, finely chopped)
*Ginger garlic paste- 1 tbsp
*Palak puree- 1 bunch palak (washed, blanched and pureed)
*Salt- to taste
*Red chilli powder- 2 tsp.
*Jeera powder- 1 tsp
*Garam masala powder- 1/4 tsp

PROCEDURE:
*Grind all the ingredients listed under marinade to a thick, smooth paste.
*Marinate the chicken with the masala paste for atleast 1 hour.
*Heat around 1 tbsp oil and one by one shallow fry all the chicken pieces until 80% cooked.
*Remove from flame and set aside.
*Heat oil in a kadhai, add chopped onions and cook till translucent.
*Add ginger garlic paste and red chili powder and saute well.
*Now add the palak puree, jeera powder and garam masala powder.
*Mix well and let it come to a boil.
*Now check for seasoning and add salt and chili powder if needed.
*Now add the stir-fried chicken and mix gently.
*Simmer it for 2 mins. 
*Your piping-hot tasty Palak Chicken is ready.
