We bring to you the all time favorite sheekh kababs full of veggies, this veggie-version of kababs are sure to surprise you with it's lip-smacking flavors. Traditionally, it's made in a tandoor but this recipe can be made both on tawa as well as tandoor. I’ve even used ice-cream sticks instead of skewers, you can use ice-cream sticks as they are easily available.
INGREDIENTS:
*Potatoes- 3 nos (medium sized, boiled and grated)
*Boiled peas- ½ cup
*Boiled Sweet corn- ¼ cup
*Salt- to taste
*Onion- 2nos (finely chopped)
*Green chillies- 2 nos
*Coriander leaves- ½ cup
*Chaat masala powder- 1 tsp
*Red chilli powder- 1 tsp
*Rice flour - 2 tbsp
*Bread crumbs- ½ cup
*Bread crumbs for coating
PROCEDURE:
*Take a food processor jar and add peas and sweet corn to it.
*Now add salt, onion, green chillies, chaat masala and red chilli
powder to it.
*Process it to a thick consistency.
*Remove it in a bowl.
*Add boiled and grated potato to it, mix well.
*Now add rice flour and bread crumbs and mix well.
*You will observe that it has absorbed moisture.
*Check for seasoning and add salt and red chili if required.
*Freeze the mixture for 5 mins.
*Grease your hand with oil, shape them on an icecream stick evenly.
*Coat these in bread crumbs.
*Freeze the shaped sheekh in the freezer for 5 mins.
*Heat a cast iron tawa, add oil and let it heat.
*Place the sheekh in the tawa and keep flipping gently so that it gets
crisp evenly.
*Shallow-fry the sheekh on medium flame to get even crisp and colour.
*Veg sheekh is ready, serve hot with sliced onions, lemon wedges and CUCUMBER DIP.
