KELA AUR ARBI CUTLET

 

After my recipe of Raw Banana Cutlets, here I am again with raw banana and taro root (Arbi) cutlets. Sounds different? But this tastes rich and heavenly. Try this recipe and let me know in the comments how it turned out. We would love to hear from you.

 


INGREDIENTS:

*Raw banana- 1 cup (Peeled and Chopped)

*Taro roots (Arbi) – 1 cup (Peeled and Chopped)

*Carrot- ½ cup (Peeled and Chopped)

*Salt- to taste

*Chilli flakes- 2 tsp

*Black pepper powder- 1 tsp

*Chaat masala- 1 tsp

*Jeera powder- 1 tsp

*Rice flour- ¼ cup

*Chopped Coriander leaves- 1 tbsp

*Chopped Mint leaves- 1 tbsp

*Bread crumbs- 1 cup (For Coating)

*Oil- for Shallow- frying

 


PROCEDURE:

*Pressure Cook all the veggies (Raw banana, Taro root and Carrot) separately until tender.

*Strain all the water and let it dry for some time.

*Add the veggies in a large mixing bowl.

*Mash them to a fine paste using a potato masher.

*Now, Add all the ingredients to the mixture except oil and bread crumbs.

*Mix well and check for seasoning and can add any extra seasoning at this stage.

*If the mixture looks too sticky, add more rice flour and mix well.

*Shape into medium-sized cutlets, freeze the cutlets for about 1 hour.

*Remove the cutlets from freezer, coat them with Bread crumbs.

*Heat a pan with some oil.

*Place the cutlets in the hot pan, Cook them till crispy all over.

*Kela  Arbi cutlet is ready, serve right away along with some ketchup and mayonnaise.
