Today, I'm sharing the recipe of a sweet dish made up of vermicelli, dry fruits and clarified butter. It's a festive special dish and can be made in under 15 mins. INGREDIENTS:
- Roasted vermicelli- 2 cups
- Clarified butter- 1/2 cup (ghee)
- Cinammon- 1 2'' sticks
- Cardamom- 2 nos
- Raisins- 3 tbsp
- Cashewnuts- 3 tbsp (chopped roughly)
- Sugar- 1 1/2 cup (more or less according to your preference)
- Water- 1 1/2 cup
PROCEDURE:
- Heat water in a vessel, simmer the flame once it comes to a boil.
- Heat ghee in another vessel, add raisins to the ghee and fry it on low flame until it puffs up.
- Remove the fried raisins and set it aside. Now fry the cashew nuts until they turn light golden. Now remove the cashew nuts and set aside.
- To the same ghee add cinammon and cardamom. Fry it for a few secs.
- Now add 1 cup of the boiling water to it. Be careful as both the ghee and water are hot.
- Now let it come to a boil again. Add the roasted vermicelli to it and mix gently.
- We've not added all of the boiling water, you can add more if required. Simmer and let the vermicelli cook evenly.
- Once the vermicelli is cooked, add sugar and mix gently.
- Simmer it again and once sugar dissolves, check for sweetness and add more if required.
- Now add the fried nuts to it and mix gently. Serve it hot before simmering it for 5 mins.
- Meethe dum ke seviyan is ready, serve hot right away.
