Strawberry Jujubes Recipe | Strawberry Gummy Candy Recipe

Jujubes... a childhood favourite. A soft- chewy candy made using fruit pulp, then coated with sugar crystals for the perfect crunch. Earlier I shared the recipe of Sweet lime jujubes, we could'nt get enough of it. So, we've got strawberry jujubes candy recipe. This soft and chewy yet tasty candy is sure to win hearts. Try this recipe and I'm sure kids will love it. Happy Cooking!


INGREDIENTS:

  • Fresh Strawberry puree- 1 cup
  • Powdered sugar- 1/2 cup
  • Cornflour- 1/3 cup
  • Butter- 1 tbsp
  • Fine grain sugar crystals- for coating

PROCEDURE:

  • In a saucepan, add strawberry puree, I've used fresh strawberries and made it to a puree and strained it later.

  • Now add cornflour and powdered sugar to it.
  • Mix well until there are no lumps left, We'll mix the contents before switching on the flame.

  • Now start cooking the mixture on medium flame, while stirring continuously.

  • You'll notice that the mixture starts to get lumpy, don't worry keep cooking while stirring continuously.

  • Now you'll see that the mixture has turned into a ball-kind. Lower the flame at this stage.
  • At this stage, add butter to it and mix.

  • Once the butter melts, the mixture starts getting glossy and starts to leave the sides of the pan.

  • Switch off the flame and place this in a cling film.

  • Wrap it with a cling film and smoothen out the edges.

  • Allow the mixture to come to room temperature before refrigerating it for at-least 2-3 hrs.
  • Now the jujubes are set beautifully, cut out small cubes out of it using a sharp knife.
  • Coat them in sugar crystals, and your strawberry jujubes are ready to be devoured. Enjoy!
