Chicken is loved by kids and adults alike and when it comes to boneless chicken, we just can't resist it and just want to gobble it up. Today we've got Chatpata chicken recipe. Boneless chicken chunks cooked in a flavorful, herby, spicy masala to give you chatpata chicken recipe. This dish along with roti and onion slices is a good dinner option. INGREDIENTS:
- Boneless Chicken- 500 gms (cleaned, washed and cut into bite-sized pieces)
- Oil- 2 tbsp
- Cardamom- 2 nos
- Cinnamon sticks- 2 1'' sticks
- Cloves- 2 nos
- Onion- 1 cup (finely chopped)
- Tomatoes- 1 1/2 cup (finely chopped)
- Salt- to taste
- Red chilli powder- 1 tsp
- Chaat masala powder- 1 tsp
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Chopped mint leaves- 1/2 cup
- Chopped coriander leaves- 1/2 cup
- Meat masala- 2 tsp
- Garam masala- 1/2 tsp
PROCEDURE:
- Heat oil in a kadhai, add the whole spices to it and allow it to crackle.
- Add chopped onions and salt to it and saute it till translucent.
- Now add chopped tomatoes to it and let it cook till mushy.
- Once the tomatoes are mushy, add the chicken pieces to it.
- Cook for 5 mins till the chicken changes colour.
- Now add the spices to it, also add lemon juice to it.
- Don't overcook the chicken, as overcooked chicken tastes dry and flavorless.
- Check for seasoning and add more salt and spice if needed.
- Now add chopped mint leaves and coriander leaves to it.
- Chatpata Chicken is ready, Serve hot with roti and onion slices.
