*Wash coriander leaves and allow to drain.
*Chop onions roughly.
*Now take a blender jar, add onion, garlic, ginger, salt, green chillies, coriander leaves, grated coconut and garam masala.
*Blend into a smooth paste.
*Taste for salt.
*The mixture should have excess salt and spice because we have not yet added fried gram and kheema.
*Now add fried gram and grind coarsely.
*Now add kheema to it and again grind coarsely.
*Remove it in a bowl.
*Apply oil to your palms and shape round koftas of the mixture.
*Keep it aside.
*Take a glass of water approx. 200 ml.
*Add this water to the blender jar and wipe out all the excess masala from it.
*Heat a tawa and add this masala water to it.
*Allow it to come to a boil.
*Now slowly drop the shaped koftas in the boiling water one by one.
*If your tawa is small then you might have to cook the koftas in batches.
*Turn the koftas gently with a spatula so that they cook evenly.
*After the water gets absorbed by the koftas, drizzle oil on it using a spoon.
*Keep turning the koftas at regular intervals so that they get browned evenly.
*Now, your delicious melt-in the mouth koftas are ready.
*Pair it with roti or rice. Serve hot along with onion slices and lemon wedges.
*Do try this. So, what are you waiting for?
