We all love to hoard packets of Chilli flakes we get after ordering Pizzas. We use those packets in other recipes too, or we either prefer buying chilli flakes from the market. But do you know you could make it at home and the flakes are much spicier than the store-bought ones. Today, i'll show you two-ways to make chilli flakes. Keep reading till the end to get the recipe.
Method 1 :
This Quick method is by using Dry red chillies. We simply need to pulse them.
We need:
*Dry red chillies- 1 cup
Procedure:
*Check the red chillies. Make sure that the chillies are crisp, cause soft ones are usually rotten from inside.
*Pulse them in your grinder for a second.
*Voila, Quick homemade chilli flakes are ready.
Method 2:
This method is by using fresh chillies, we'll dry them first and then pulse them.
We need:
*Fresh chillies- 1 cup
Procedure:
*Wash the chillies and drain them in a colander.
*After they've dried out completely, spread them out on a plate.
*Place it in sunlight everyday, or you can even place it in your kitchen slab. Make sure that it does'nt come in contact of water and stays dry.
*Let it dry for a month or until it's completely dry and crispy.
*Pulse it in your grinder for a second.
*And there you have homemade chilli flakes, you can use it in Pizzas, fries, burgers, noodles and many more. Enjoy!
