Aamras

What's Summers without Aamras??? This delicacy is enjoyed by people of all age-groups. My kids love aamras and this chilled delicacy is enjoyed wth piping-hot rotis in my home. People all over India have different pairs made along with aamras, some like it with puri, some like it with ice cream, but you can even have it as it is. Try this recipe and let me know in the comments how it turned out.

INGREDIENTS:
*Mango- 2 nos 
You can use any variety according to your preference. Make sure that you don't use such variety that's thready, cause it disturbs. Most prefered variety is Totapuri, Malgova etc.
*Sugar- 2 tbsp
This depends on the sweetness of the mango you're using. So adjust accordingly.
*Elaichi powder- 1 pinch (Optional)
You can skip it as most people don't prefer elachi.

PROCEDURE:
*Wash thoroughly and soak mangoes for atleast 2 hrs.
*Peel and chop mangoes.
*Freeze mangoes for atleast 4-5 hrs.
*This step makes aamras thick and tasty.
*Blend frozen mangoes aling with rest of the ingredients.
*Blend it till smooth and fluffy.
*Aamras this chilled at this stage, you can serve it right away.
*Or you can even refrigerate and use later.
*Aamras is ready.
