INGREDIENTS:
*Beetroot- 500 gms
Note: *For Bright Food colour, make sure to buy Beetroots in winter, that's when they're in season.
*And also make sure they are deep red in colour when you peel them such that your palms also get a red colour. Such beetroot yield good food colour.
PROCEDURE:
*Peel beetroots, wash them well and drain in a colander.
*Grate beetroots finely and spread them in large plates.
*Let them dry under sun for atleast 4-5 days or you can even place the plate on top of a hot utensil.
*The texture of the beetroot should get dry and hard by now.
*Now add this to small mixer jar and make it into a fine powder.
*You can even sift it for fine powder.
*Store it in an airtight container, stays good for more than a year.
