Banana jelly delight

Ramzans are in summer this time, so after a long roza kids crave for something cool and tasty. I don't prefer to let my kids have desserts from bakeries as they have loads of preservatives and empty calories, that's why I bring to you all Banana jelly delight. This dessert will make your kids drool over it plus it's homemade, so no worries as it's way more healthier than the bakery-bought. 

INGREDIENTS:
*Plain vanilla sponge- 1 cup (broken into pieces)
*Milk- 1/2 ltr
*Sugar- 2 tbsp
*Custard powder- 3 tbsp
*Banana- 2 nos (made to a puree)

For the Jelly layer:
*Strawberry jelly pack- 1 pack
*Banana slices- 1/2 cup
*Sprinkles and cherries- for decoration

PROCEDURE:
*Boil milk in a vessel along with sugar.
*Simmer when it comes to a rolling boil.
*Dissolve custard powder in 1/4 cup milk.
*Pour it in the simmering milk and stir continuously and cook until it thickens.
*Switch off the flame and let it cool completely.
*Remove the custard in a blender jar along with banana puree.
*Blend it for 2 mins.
*Now pour back to the vessel and cool for another 5 mins.
*Now switch off the flame and set it aside.
*Take long dessert glasses.
*Add a thick layer of plain cake cut into cubes.
*Now gently pour the custard halfway to the glass.
*Level it up using a spoon.
*Now add a layer of sliced bananas and sprinkles.
*Let it set for 15 mins.
*Now prepare the jelly according to the package instructions.
*Gently pour a layer of jelly liquid on the banana custard layer.
*Let it set.
*Refrigerate it for 2 hours and serve chilled.
*Your Banana Jelly Delight is ready.
