INGREDIENTS:
*Plain papad- 3 nos (raw, cut into half)
*Puffed rice- 2 cups
*Onion- 1 (medium sized, finely chopped)
*Tomato- 1 (medium sized, finley chopped)
*Salt- to taste
*Red chili powder- ½ tsp (more or less according to your taste)
*Coriander leaves- 2 tbsp (finely chopped)
*Chaat masala- 1 tsp
*Jeera powder- 1 tsp
*Sweet tamarind chutney- 2 tbsp
*Chopped green chilies- optional
PROCEDURE:
*Heat a tawa.
*Place halved papad slice and roast it without oil by pressing it with a clean cloth.
*When roasted evenly, remove from tawa and twist it to a cone while it's still hot.
*In a large mixing bowl, add all the ingredients except for puffed rice, mix well and check for seasoning.
*Don’t add all the puffed rice in one go, Mix in batches as required and serve immediately as the puffed rice turns soggy after some time.
*Fill the papad cones with the bhel and serve right away.
*You can keep the masala ready and then mix it in batches just before serving.
