MASOOR DAL VADA

 

Who can say no to masoor dal vada. These lentil fritters are an all-time favorite and a must in Ramadan had along withMASALA GANJI. A perfect snack had along with tea this monsoon season. Try this monsoon special recipe and let me know in the comments how it turned out.

 


INGREDIENTS:

*Masoor dal- 2 cups (Washed and soaked for 3 hrs)

*Onion- 2 nos (finely chopped)

*Coriander leaves- 1 cup (finely chopped)

*Salt- to taste

*Red chili powder- ½ tsp

*Ginger garlic paste- 1 tsp

*Green chilies- 1 tbsp (finely chopped)

 

 

PROCEDURE:

*Wash and soak dal for min. 3 hrs.

*Drain and grind coarsely, add salt while grinding.

*Adding salt while grinding will ensure that salt spreads uniformly in vada mixture.

*Remove the mixture in a bowl.

*Add all the ingredients to the vada mixture and mix well.

*Heat oil in a kadhai.

*When the oil is hot enough, shape vadas and deep fry till golden brown.

*Drain and place on a kitchen towel to remove excess oil. Tastes best while hot.

*Serve as a side-dish for MASALA GANJI.
