BLACK CHICKPEA SUNDAL

 


Easy and healthy snack to munch, guilt free without worrying about calories.

 

INGREDIENTS:

*Black pea- 1 cup (washed and soaked overnight)

*Onion-  2 medium sized (finely chopped)

*Coriander leaves- 1 tbsp (finely chopped)

*Green chillies- 1 tsp (finely chopped)

*Curry leaves- 1 sprig

*Mustard seeds- ¼ tsp

*Salt- to taste

*Oil- for tempering.

*Lemon wedges

*Finely chopped onion

 

PROCEDURE:

*Pressure cook soaked chickpeas for 5 mins.

*Check if soft or else cook for another 2 whistles.

*Now heat oil in a pan.

*Add mustard seeds, allow it to crackle.

*Add curry leaves and fry for 10 secs.

*Now add onions, fry till translucent.

*Add salt and green chillies. Mix well.

*Add boiled chickpeas and mix well.

*Allow it to cook till all extra moisture dries up.

*Add finely chopped coriander leaves.

*Garnish with finely chopped onion and lemon wedges. Serve hot.
