  • Take Mutton in a bowl along with the spices and veggies. Mix well.
  • Check for seasoning and add more salt and spice if needed.
  • Let it marinate for at-least 3-4 hrs, best if let to marinate overnight.
  • Raw Papaya paste acts as a natural meat tenderiser. This make the mutton cook quickly on the tandoor.
  • After it has marinated well, Insert the mutton and the veggies in the tandoor rods one by one

    .
  • Place them over the hot coal. Apply some ghee over the tikka. Keep turning the rods for the tikka to get crispy evenly.

  • Once the mutton is cooked and crispy, Carefully remove the mutton tikka from the rods.
  • This was the recipe of mutton tikka. You can serve it as it is as a starter, Or you can serve it alongside pulao or rumali roti.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Mutton Tikka
  • Rumali roti- 3-4 nos
  • Sliced onions- 1/4 cup
  • Sliced cucumber- 1/2 cup
  • Mayo- 1/2 cup
  • Green chutney- 1/2 cup

PROCEDURE:

  • Chop the mutton tikka roughly. I did this step since the mutton cubes are big, So smaller chunks are easier to eat in a roll. You can even use it as it is.
  • Take a rumali roti. Apply a layer of green chutney, followed by a layer of mayo. Now place some mutton tikka on it. Now add some sliced onions and cucumber on it. Tightly roll it. You can cover it with a butter paper if you are eating it later.
  • We reheated the rolls on a tawa, just how they do it street-style. Place the rolls on the tawa and let it simmer. Take the rolls out once hot. Serve them right away.
  • Your delicious Mutton Tikka Rumali Roll is ready. Serve them right away.
