A trendy and easy to make jelly pudding recipe. Broken glass jelly pudding... Jelly crystals are set to different colours are cut into cubes which are again added in a white base pudding which makes it look colourful. Ingredients:
Jelly crystals- 1 pkt (flavour of your choice)
Milk- 2 cups
Sugar- 1/3 cups
Cornflour- 1/2 cup
Vanilla essence- 1 tsp
Butter- for greasing
Procedure:
Prepare jelly according to the package instructions. Mix food colours to make different jelly shades. Let them set until firm. Cut into cubes and gently take them aside in a plate.
Take a bowl or mould of your choice. Grease it well using butter. Add the jelly cubes to it.
Now heat milk in a pan. Simmer it once it comes to a boil. Add sugar to it and mix well. Check for sweetness and add more sugar if needed.
Now dissolve cornflour in some milk. Add it to the simmering milk. Mix well and keep stirring continuously until it thickens. Now add vanilla essence and mix well.
You'll notice that the mixture has thickened quite a lot. Switch off the flame. Optionally, you can add a tsp of butter and mix well to get a glossy touch. Now pour the white base to the jelly cubes. Gently mix using a spatula to make the jelly cubes even.
Let it come to room temperature before refrigerating overnight.
Your Broken glass jelly pudding is ready. Cut into slices and serve chilled. Optionally you can sprinkle chopped dry fruits over it for a great texture. Enjoy!
