Murgh Aloo Matar Recipe | Hariyali Murgh Recipe

A quick and tasty chicken gravy recipe. Made with green chicken masala, spices, herbs and Chicken along with a few veggies makes a perfect pair along with parathas. I have made this recipe in a pressure cooker, you can cook it even in a kadhai. Check out the step-by-step picture instructions and let me know in the comments how you feel about it.


INGREDIENTS:

  • Oil- 2 tbsp
  • Onion- 1 no (finely chopped)
  • Salt- to taste
  • Ginger garlic paste- 1 tbsp
  • Red chilli powder- 1 tsp
  • Chopped potatoes- 1 no (chopped)
  • Green peas- 1/4 cup
  • Curry-cut chicken- 500 gms
  • Chopped tomatoes- 1/2 cup
  • Green chicken masala- 2 tbsp

PROCEDURE:

  • Heat oil in a pressure cooker, add chopped onions to it along with some salt. Cook it till translucent.

  • Now add ginger garlic paste and red chilli powder to it and saute well.

  • Now add washed and drained potatoes and peas to it and mix well.

  • Now add cleaned and washed chicken to it and mix well.

  • Saute it on high flame for 2-3 mins.

  • Now add chopped tomatoes and green masala to it and mix well.

  • Add 1/2 cup water and mix well. Check for seasoning and add salt and spice if needed.

  • Pressure cook for 2 whistles and allow the pressure to release naturally.
  • Green chicken is ready, serve hot along with parathas.
