Indian Style Mutton Kheema Burger | Kheema Patty Burger

What else can be more relishing than having a homestyle desi burger? We've all had burgers from McD and subway. But still we all love homestyle burgers. That's why i bring to you Mutton patty burger, which has crispy mutton patty, onion and cucumber slices and a spicy sauce. Try this recipe and let me know how it was.

INGREDIENTS:

For the patty:

  • Mutton mince- 500 gms
  • Salt- to taste
  • Green chillies- 2 nos
  • Papaya paste- 2 tbsp
  • Red chilli powder- 1 tsp
  • Jeera powder- 1 tsp
  • Chaat masala powder- 1 tsp
  • Soya sauce- 1 tbsp
  • Juice of 2 lemons
  • Bread crumbs- 1/2 cup
  • Chopped mint leaves- 1/4 cup
  • Chopped coriander leaves- 1/4 cup
  • Oil- to fry the patties

For the Spicy sauce:

  • Classic mayo- 1/2 cup
  • Ketchup- 1/2 cup
  • Chilli flakes- 1 tbsp
  • Oregano- 1 tsp

For the burger:

  • Burger buns- 4-5 nos
  • Butter- to toast the buns
  • Onion slices
  • Cucumber slices

PROCEDURE:

For The Patty:

  • Take a blender jar, add mutton mince, salt, papaya paste and green chillies.
  • Blend it till it has combined well.
  • Remove it in a bowl, add rest of the ingredients except for oil.
  • Mix everything well. Cover the bowl and let it rest for 10 mins.
  • For checking the spice and salt, fry a small ball of the mince and taste it, now add more salt and spice if required. Mix well.
  • Shape the mince to a patty, make sure it is of the size of the buns.
  • Shallow fry them in hot oil until crispy and cooked well.

For The Spicy Sauce:

  • Take a bowl and add all the ingredients listed.
  • Mix well and set the sauce aside.

The Assembly:

  • Toast the buns with a little butter.
  • Apply the spicy sauce of the base bun of the burger, place the patty on it, followed by onion and cucumber slices. Drizzle more sauce on it. Apply sauce of the top layer of the bun and place it on top.
  • Your tasty Homestyle desi burger is ready.
