Tasty, spicy and effortless dry mushroom masala recipe. Mushroom sluces along with crispy fried potatoes coated in spicy indian flavours is just what we need. Try this Sunday-special recipe and let me know in the comments how it turned out.
*Button mushrooms- 250 gms
*Potato- 2 (small, sliced)
*Onion- 2 (medium sized, thinly sliced)
*Tomato- 1 (large, finely chopped)
*Oil- 1 tbsp + 1 tbsp
*Turmeric- 1/4 tsp
*Zeera- 1/4 tsp
*Fennel seeds- 1/4 tsp
*Chilli flakes- 1/2 tsp
*Tej patta- 2 nos
*Zeera powder- 1/2 tsp
PROCEDURE:
*Wash the mushroom well and slice it.
*Peel the potato, wash it and slice it.
*Now heat a non-stick pan, add 1 tbsp cooking oil to it.
*Now add sliced mushrooms, sprinkle some turmeric powder and a pinch of salt and saute on a medium flame.
*After 5 mins remove and drain in a kitchen napkin.
*Now add potatoes to the same oil and again season the potatoes with turmeric and salt.
*Saute until crisp.
*Remove and drain on kitchen napkins.
*Heat oil in a kadhai.
*Add zeera and fennel seeds. Allow to crackle.
*Now add bay leaves and sliced onions.
*Fry until translucent.
*Add chopped tomato and salt.
*Allow to cook until mushy.
*Add chilli flakes and zeera powder.
*Now add the sautèd mushrooms and potatoes.
*Stir and let it cook for 2 mins on low flame.
