Chatapata hara murgh

INGREDIENTS:

*Chicken lollipops- 500 gms

*Onion- 2 medium sized, finely chopped

*Tomatoes- 3 medium sized, finely chopped

*Oil- 2 tbsp

*Ginger- garlic paste- 1 1/2 tbsp.

*Red chilli powder- 1 tsp.

*Salt- to taste

*Black pepper powder- 1/2 tsp

*Green meat masala- 3 tsp

*Garam masala powder- 1/4 tsp

*Kasuri methi- 1/2 tsp crushed

*Curry leaves- 1 cup

*Cumin seeds- 1/2 tsp

*Fennel seeds- 1/2 tsp



PROCEDURE:

*Heat oil in a thick bottomed kadhai, add cumin seeds and fennel seeds. Allow to crackle.

*Add curry leaves and fry for 30 secs, until a nice aroma starts coming.

*Add chopped onion and fry for a min and now add chicken pieces and salt and saute well.

*Add chopped tomatoes and mix well and lower the flame and allow the chicken to cook in its own juices for 2 mins.

*Now add remaining spice powders and give a good mix and cook on a low flame for 5 mins.

*Check if the chicken is cooked, taste the chicken and add more salt and pepper if required.

*Add 1/2 cup of water and simmer for 2 more mins.

*Remove from flame and serve hot.
