KHATTI PUDINA CHUTNEY

 A back to basics recipe. Easy yet tangy, spicy and perfect to accompany your pulaos, ghee rice or just plain dal chawal. Try this recipe and let me know in the comments how it turned out.



INGREDIENTS:

*Tamarind- 1 lemon sized

*Coconut- 1/2 cup (chopped into small pieces)

*Pudina- 1 cup (tightly packed)

*Coriander leaves- 1 cup (tightly packed)

*Curry leaves- 2 sprigs

*Zeera- 1/2 tsp

*Salt- to taste

*Green chilies- 3 nos

*Onion- 1 nos (thinly sliced)


PROCEDURE:

*Clean the tamarind, wash and soak for 10 mins.

*Take a mixer jar, add tamarind and coconut pieces and grind them. DO NOT ADD WATER.

*After its almost done, add all the ingredients except for onion.

*Grind it smoothly and check for salt.

*Add more salt and green chilies if you want a spicier chutney.

*Now finally add sliced onions and pulse just once or twice.

*You should feel the onions while tasting the chutney

*Your Khatti Pudina Chutney is ready. Pair it with Khichdi and get ready to devour a divine meal.
