KHEEMA PYAZ KI PATTI (LAMB MINCE WITH SPRING ONIONS)

 

Craving to eat something tasty, but lazy to do the efforts? Don’t worry we’ve got you covered. We bring to you lamb mince with spring onions, a side dish that’s easy to make, doesn’t require any fancy ingredient and is also perfect to serve some to any unexpected guests. INGREDIENTS:

*Lamb Mince- 200 gms

*Spring onions- 1 ½ cups (finely chopped)

*Onions- 1 ½ cups (finely chopped)

*Ginger-garlic paste- 1 tbsp

*Red chili powder- 1 tsp

*Salt- to taste

*Tomatoes- 3 nos (small, finely chopped)

*Garam masala powder- ¼ tsp

*Coriander leaves- 1 tbsp (finely chopped)

*Oil- 1tbsp (of your choice)

*Turmeric powder- ¼ tsp

 


 

PROCEDURE:

*Heat oil in a pressure cooker.

*Add half the quantity of the onions and saute well.

*Add salt and fry till translucent.

*Add ginger-garlic paste and washed and drained kheema and saute well.

*Add red chili powder and tomatoes.

*Mix again and saute for 2 mins.

*Now add garam masala and turmeric powder and ½ cup water.

*Close the pressure cooker and cook on high flame for 3 whistles.

*Allow the pressure to release naturally.

*Check if there is excess water and evaporate it.

*Now add the remaining onions and spring onions.

*And allow to cook on medium flame for 5 mins.

*Take care that the onion cooks well and do not turn it mushy.

*Sprinkle with coriander leaves and serve hot with roti or paratha.

Note: I have used homemade Garam masala powder which is concentrated hence ¼ tsp is more than enough. I hope to post the recipe soon.
