Bitter gourd pakoda is a crispy yummy deep fried snack made with bitter
gourd, gram flour, rice flour and spices. This snack is even relished by bitter
gourd haters, as the bitterness is not felt after deep frying. So let’s get to
the making.
INGREDIENTS:
*Bitter gourd- 1 nos (medium sized, finely sliced)
*Onion- 1 nos (medium sized, finely sliced)
*Gram flour- ½ cup
*Rice flour- 2 tbsp
*Salt- to taste
*Ginger- garlic paste- 1 tbsp
*Red chili powder- 1 tsp
*Chaat masala – ½ tsp
*Hing- a pinch
*Water- to make the batter
*Chopped mint leaves- 1 tbsp
*Oil- for deep frying
PROCEDURE:
*Heat oil in a kadhai.
*In a bowl, add all the ingredients and mix well, then add water
gradually to form pakoda batter.
*Take care that you don’t make a watery batter, as it will not yield
crispy pakodas.
*Mix the batter well.
*Take the batter along with the veggies, drop them in hot oil in the
shape of small balls.
*Fry them until crispy and light golden color.
