STRAWBERRY ICE CREAM, NO ICE CREAM MACHINE, NO CONDENSED MILK

 


This hot steamy weather calls for ice creams, and what’s better than homemade ones. We bring to you homemade fresh strawberry ice cream, made without ice cream machine, no condensed milk and no CMC or GMS powders. If you loved this recipe try it out and let me know how it turned out.

 

INGREDIENTS:

*Full-fat milk- 500 ml

*Fresh cream- 2 tbsp

*Sugar- 6 tbsp

*Strawberry puree- ½ cup (made from fresh strawberries)

*Milk powder- 2 tbsp

*Cornflour slurry- 2 tbsp cornflour + 4 tbsp water

 

PROCEDURE:

*In a sauce pan, add milk and let it come to a boil.

*When it starts boiling, add sugar and milk powder and mix well.

*After the sugar dissolves, add cream and strawberry puree. Mix well.

*Now add the cornflour slurry and keep stirring continuously.

*Keep cooking this mixture until it thickens to a pudding consistency.

*Now switch off the flame and let it cool down completely.

*Now pour this in an air tight container and place it in the freezer for 5-7 hours.

*Now remove from freezer, scoop out the ice cream in a blender and blend it to a smooth consistency.

*Now again remove it in an air tight container.

*Repeat the same process for at least 3 times.

*After it sets, scoop out ice cream in a bowl, drizzle some strawberry syrup and serve right away.
