A unique and interesting pizza
recipe, made without cheese and yeast and without oven. It is an ideal hack when
you are running short of pizza cheese.
INGREDIENTS:
For the base:
*All-purpose flour- 2 cups
*Curd- ½ cup
*Salt- as per taste
*Baking powder- 2 tsp
*Baking soda- ½ tsp
*Sugar- 2 tsp
*Water- for kneading
*Oil- for kneading
For the cheese sauce:
*Butter-2 tbsp
*Maida- 2 tbsp
*Milk- 2 cups
*Salt- as per taste
For pizza sauce:
*Tomato puree- 1 cup
*Mixed herbs- 1 tsp
*Chilli flakes- 1 tsp
*Oil- 1 tbsp
*Salt- as per taste
*Garlic pods- 4 (finely chopped)
*Onion- 1 (finely chopped)
For toppings:
*Capsicum- sliced
*Onion- sliced
*Tomato- sliced
*Chilli flakes
*Mixed herbs
PROCEDURE:
For the base:
*In a large mixing bowl, take flour, baking powder, soda, salt and
sugar. Mix well.
*Now add curd and knead till it begins to form crumbles.
*Now add water as required and knead it into a soft dough.
*Now knead after applying oil.
*Cover the dough with a cloth and rest it for 3-4 hrs.
For the cheese sauce:
*Heat a pan and melt butter.
*Now add maida and stir continuously.
*Don’t let it burn, keep the flame low.
*Now gradually add milk and keep stirring until it thickens to a saucy
consistency.
*Now add salt.
*Cheese sauce is ready.
For the pizza sauce:
*Heat oil in a pan. Add garlic pods and onion and saute
till translucent.
*Now add salt and tomato puree and cook till the raw smell of tomato is
gone.
*Now add chilli flakes and mixed herbs and
mix well.
*Pizza sauce is ready.
The assembling:
*Take the pizza dough and spread it thick in a greased pizza plate.
*Now apply a generous layer of the pizza sauce.
*Spread some veggies and sprinkle chilli
flakes and mixed herbs.
*Now place dollops of the cheese sauce all over the pizza. Be generous
enough and spread.
*Now place this plate in a preheated kadhai
and bake for 15- 20 mins.
*This cheesy sauce won’t make you feel the absence of cheese.
