HOMESTYLE MAGGI WITH A TWIST

 








Maggi is a favorite food for all age groups. Be it a fussy child who refuses to eat his meal, a teenager who has lockdown hunger pangs, or the elderly who need a small tea time snack. Maggi is a comforting food for all and sundry and the best part is that it's easy to prepare and you never get bored of it. The given recipe is a small twist to the classic maggi recipe. INGREDIENTS:

*Maggi- 2 cubes

*Oil- 1 tbsp

*Cumin seeds- ¼ tsp

*Garlic pods- 3 (finely chopped)

*Onion- 1 (finely chopped)

*Tomato- 1 (finely chopped)

*Capsicum- ½ cup (shredded)

*Salt- a pinch (maggi masala already contains salt)

*Red chilli powder- ½ tsp

*Coriander leaves- 1 tbsp (finely chopped)

*Spring onion- ¼ cup (finely chopped)

*Water- 1 ½ cup

*Butter- 1 tsp

 

PROCEDURE:

*Heat oil in a kadhai, add cumin seeds and let it crackle.

*Now add chopped garlic and onion and saute for a few

seconds. Let the flame be high.

*Now add capsicum and spring onions and saute until soft.

*Now add tomatoes and cook till they are mushy.

*Add salt and chilli powder and fry for a few seconds.

*Add water, mix well and let it come to a boil.

*Now add the maggi cubes and maggi masala.

*When the maggi is done, add butter and give it a good stir.

*Sprinkle coriander leaves and enjoy while still hot.
