HOMEMADE SAMBAR POWDER
INGREDIENTS:
*Coriander seeds- 2 tbsp
*Cumin seeds- 1.5 tbsp
*Black peppercorns- ½ tsp
*Whole red chillies- 8-10
*Cinnamon- 2’’ sticks
*Cloves- 5
*Asafoetida- ½ tsp
*Grated coconut- ½ cup
*Chana dal-2 tsp
*Urad dal- 2 tsp
PROCEDURE:
*Heat a pan on medium flame.
*Add all the ingredients and dry roast until fragrant.
*Allow to cool completely.
*Grind the spices into a fine powder.
*Prepare sambar as usual.
