BANANA TRIFLE PUDDING

 

This easy to make pudding is tasty, all the ingredients are easily available and easy to put together. Enjoy this delicious dessert, suitable for this festive season. Give this dessert and let me know in the comments how it turned out.

INGREDIENTS:

For the biscuit layer:

*Any un-flavored biscuits- 18 Nos (I used good day biscuits)

*Unsalted butter- 3 tbsp

 

For the banana custard layer:

*Whole milk- 1.5 ltr

*Vanilla custard powder- 3 tbsp (I used Weikfield custard powder)

*Vanilla essence- 1 tsp

*Sugar- 5 tbsp

*Banana puree- Made from 5 ripe bananas

*Yellow food colour- 2 drops (optional)

 

For the jelly layer:

*Chopped bananas- 4 Nos

*Strawberry jelly mix- 1 box (I used Weikfield jelly crystals)

 


PROCEDURE:

For biscuit layer:

*Crush the biscuits finely in a food processor.

*Mix melted butter in the biscuit powder.

*Now take suitable dessert glasses and spread a 1” layer of biscuits and make it even.

*Let it set in the refrigerator for about 10 mins.

*Meanwhile we can prepare the second layer.

 

For Banana custard layer:

*Keep milk for boiling while stirring continuously.

*Now dissolve custard powder in about 5 tbsp of milk.

*Now pour it in the milk and keep stirring continuously.

*Keep stirring continuously such that it forms no lumps.

*Now add sugar and mix to dissolve.

*Once the mixture starts bubbling, lower the flame and add the banana puree.

*Mix well and cook the mixture on low flame for about 2 mins.

*You can add a few drops of yellow food colour as the mixture turns pale after adding bananas. This is completely optional.

*Turn off the flame and let it rest for about 2 mins.

*Now pour around 5 tbsp of this mixture in each glass and make it an even layer.

*Pop these glasses back into the fridge and let it set for about 1 hour.

 

For the jelly layer:

*Prepare jelly mixture according to the package instructions.

*Let it cool for some seconds.

*Now place a layer of chopped bananas on the custard layer.

*Now pour the jelly mixture equally in all the glasses.

*Pop it in the fridge and let it set.

*Banana pudding trifle is ready. Serve chilled.
