INGREDIENTS:
*FOR THE CAKE:
*2 big packets of Oreo cookies[120gm each, total 24 cookies]
*3 tbsp powdered sugar
*1 & ½ tsp baking powder
*1/2 cup milk [room temperature]
*FOR THE FROSTING:
*Oreo cream [removed from the biscuits]
*2-3 tsp cooking oil
*2 tbsp cocoa powder
PROCEDURE:
*Take Oreo cookies and separate the cream from the biscuits and set the cream aside.
[I have used chocolate cream Oreo cookies, use can use any flavor of your choice]
*Now grind the biscuits to a fine powder.
*Remove it out in a bowl and add sugar and baking powder. Mix well.
*Now gently fold in milk, using the cut and fold method remove all the lumps. Do not overmix as you will end up with a dense cake.
*Now pour this batter in a greased tin and tap to remove all air bubbles.
*Place this tin in a preheated kadhai and bake for 35-40 mins on medium to low flame.
OREO CREAM FROSTING:
*While the cake is baking, we can prepare the frosting.
*Take the cream which we had separated from the biscuits.
*Whisk the cream while gradually adding oil.
*now add cocoa powder and whisk while gradually adding little oil.
*You will get a very silky smooth frosting which will not be possible by adding milk, so use oil.
*After the cake is baked, let it cool by covering a cotton cloth.
*After the cake is cooled, drizzle some sugar syrup on the cake.
*Now spread the frosting evenly and decorate it according to your taste.
