Chicken Manchurian… A Healthier Version..
Usually, Chicken pieces for chicken Manchurian are deep fried which means a lot of un healthy calories, this recipe brings you a healthier pressure cooked version which is equally tasty. Do try it & let me know in the comment section.

Ingredients:
*
Boneless chicken- 300 grams {skinless
& chopped into bite size pieces}
*
Medium sized onion- 1 finely
chopped.
*
Ginger finely chopped- 1 teaspoon.
*
Garlic finely chopped- 1
teaspoon.
*
Spring onion finely chopped-1
cup.
*
Capsicum finely chopped- 1
{*optional}.
*
Red chili powder-1/2 teaspoon
{it’s because my kids love it}.
*
Tomatoes finely chopped- 2.
*
Corn flour-1 teaspoon.
*
Soya sauce- 1 tablespoon.
*
Vinegar- 1 tablespoon.
*
Tomato ketchup- 1 tablespoon.
*
Salt to taste.
*
Black Pepper- to taste.
*
Oil- 1 tablespoon.
*
Sugar- 1 teaspoon.
*
Red food color- A pinch.
*
Coriander leaves {For
garnishing}
Procedure:
v Wash chicken pieces well; drain it & put in a pressure pan.
v Add chopped tomatoes, coarsely chopped onions, red chili powder, ½ tea
spoon salt & ½ cup of water.
v Pressure cook for 2 whistles, allow to cool. Check is tender.
v If there is excess water, evaporate on a high flame.
v Heat a pan, add oil, when it is hot, add ginger & garlic pieces,
fry for a minute.
v Add finely chopped onions, fry again.
v Now add spring onion, Capsicum, Salt; Remember that you have added
salt to chicken before.
v Fry on a high flame for 2 minutes & add chicken; mix well.
v Now add soya sauce, vinegar, tomato ketchup, sugar, Black pepper
powder; mix well.
v Check for seasoning.
v Add food color; Mix well.
v Garnish with coriander leaves, spring onions; serve hot.
